This Masterpiece is inspired and recreated from the 1867 archive piece from Victoria and Albert museum
The archive piece / SAREE was originally woven back in 1867 at Salem Tamilnad in crimson red with zari and threadwork and is moved from the Indian museum as archive piece to V&A in 1879

The lustrous Mesmerising shade of this kanchivaram silk yarn is a complete natural dyed crimson red A mid tone of red and orange
The body has 15 kuzhigai adai Kamalam buttas woven in each row ( usually 8 will be used but the master weaver used 15 for this masterpiece)
The border has 3 ply 240 adai weave for vanki and diamond motifs with muthu seer
The extravagant and show stopper pallu has extra weft meenakari woven pavala valayal kodi (florals ) and mango paisley in natural dyed olive green and sindoor orange yarns with authentic 5 gm gold zari used

Fabric care
- Always dry clean for the first wash. For subsequent washes, if dry cleaning is not possible, gently hand wash in cold water with soapnut or silk-suitable detergent or baby shampoo.
- Always air dry the saree in shade. Never wring the sari or use it in the washing machine or dryer. Never rub the sari vigorously.
