The Regal natural dyed Vintage Kanchivaram:
The luxury that accentuates the regal Kanchivaram silk saree, handwoven using complete natural dye pigments on mulberry silk.
Presenting to you the EKANTA - 7
An heirloom masterpiece created the pinnacle of traditional kanchivaram weave. This regal saree demands intensive labour of Forty-five days. Four skilled hands. One absolute masterpiece, featuring a seamless Triple Korvai construction that unites the body and borders with absolute precision.
- The Body: Inspired by a rare vintage silhouette, the canvas features a full Zari Muthukattam(pearl grid) outlined in a delicate, natural-dyed pink yarn. Within the grid, Samanthi(chrysanthemum) motifs are hand-woven in an alternating rhythm of shimmering zari and warm, gold-shaded natural dye.
- The Borders: A double-layered visual triumph. The outer border features a precise Kuyilkan Pettu(cuckoo’s eye pattern) in deep copper brown shade, woven in zari. This is paired elegantly with an inner Kodi Visiri Pettu(creeper and fan vine) woven in a vibrant, striking sindoor orange silk pettu. The bottom border features two interlock and the top border features a single interlock to the body
- The Epic Double Pallu: Features a grand, extended length split into two distinct expressions—one rendered in intricate threadwork and the other laden with pure zari. It is seamlessly integrated using the rare Killu Mundhi technique, where the weavers meticulously lift and pass the zari from the body directly into the pallu.
- The Heritage Finale: The zari pallu showcases a majestic Annapakshi holding a flower, meticulously recreated using complex, ADAI weaving technique without jacquard that structures to mirror authentic vintage drapes.
Woven for the connoisseur of rare textiles. Woven for the special you.
