A saree that has a lot more to say !!
This beauty was spotted from an antique collective and caught my senses!!! where I was informed its dated back from late 1980’s or early 90’s
The moment I saw this beauty, I fall for it and it topped on
my recreation list
When referred this to the master creator of ikkat , he carefully studied the design and recreated with his own artistic Midas touch with miniature version of motifs and beautified with the unique lustre fabric construction , as he is known for his innovative fabric construction and challenges, it took us almost 1 whole year of patience ( paused for various reasons) to rejuvenate this masterpiece !!
Weave- Double warp and weft tie dyed silk ikkat /Double ikkat
Weighs - 800 gms
Fabric - lustre fabric construction
Material- pure mulberry silk
Motifs - 2 miniature motifs very intricately and meticulously tie dyed
Colours - deep purple blue base with red green yellow white
Pallu - subdued solid colour

Fabric care
- Always dry clean for the first wash. For subsequent washes, if dry cleaning is not possible, gently hand wash in cold water with soapnut or silk-suitable detergent or baby shampoo.
- Always air dry the saree in shade. Never wring the sari or use it in the washing machine or dryer. Never rub the sari vigorously.
- Do not store silk without dry cleaning
- Iron in medium heat only
